Description

The delightfully textured Cherry Bark Sweater is a skillful revamp of its predecessor, the Cherry Bark Vest. With a panel in the front and an all-over pattern in the back, this crewneck, long-sleeved sweater offers the perfect combination of interest and comfort.

Arranmore Light brings a luxurious feel to this pullover, with a tweedy blend of cashmere, silk, and Merino that offers beautiful drape and softness. The front and back are knit flat from the bottom up and then seamed before picking up stitches for the sleeves. The pattern also includes an option to knit the neckband seamed or seamlessly. Choose your favorite color, and get your needles ready for a rhythmic and relaxing knit with just enough variety to keep things interesting.

This pattern is also available as a kit, that includes the PDF pattern and 3–6 hanks of Arranmore Light.

Yarn:

The Fibre Co. Arranmore Light (80% Merino wool, 10% cashmere, 10% silk, 300 m (328 yd) per 100 g hank) in shade Sea Pink – 3 [4: 4: 4: 5: 5: 6: 6: 6] hanks.

Construction notes:

The Cherry Bark Sweater body is worked in pieces from the bottom up and then seamed. The neckband has both a seamed and seamless option, and the sleeves are picked up last and worked top down in the round.
