Description

The richly textured Chunky Comfort Keeper Bag is the perfect place to hold very special things. It features lush cables, a moss stitch, a delicate zigzag seed stitch edging at the top, and a string closure.

Worked from the bottom up, the bag begins flat until a square is formed. Then, stitches are picked up around the edges and the bag is knitted from there in the round. A tubular rib is created at the top for running cord strings through. Knit in &Make Super Bulky, a 100% natural Highland wool single-ply yarn in spectacular colors, this fun project will keep you engaged from start to finish!

This pattern is also available as a kit, that includes the PDF pattern and 2 balls of &Make Super Bulky.

Yarn:

The Fibre Co. &Make Super Bulky (100% Highland wool, 80 m (87 yd) per 100 g ball) in shade Serious Shade – 2 balls.

Construction notes:

The Chunky Comfort Keeper Bag is worked from the bottom up in one piece. The bottom is worked flat and stitches are picked up and knit from the base before joining in the round. The body is worked using two different cable patterns. After the body, a tube is created where the cords are threaded through to close the bag. The bag is finished with a Zigzag Seed stitch pattern edge.
