Description
One Sock Colorwork brings seasonal celebration to your needles with charted colorwork that captures the beauty of autumn and winter. This versatile 3-in-1 design offers both charted and written instructions for three distinctive motifs: autumnal acorns that capture the essence of falling leaves, festive holly stripes perfect for holiday gatherings, and playful snowmen that embrace winter’s whimsical spirit. Each design transforms the classic sock silhouette into a canvas for seasonal storytelling, making these perfect for gifting or treating yourself to handmade comfort.
Knitted in The Fibre Co.’s Amble, this eco-conscious fingering weight yarn exemplifies thoughtful design and environmental responsibility. The blend of Easy-wash treated Merino wool and alpaca delivers exceptional softness and comfort, while recycled nylon adds the strength and durability essential for long-wearing socks. Amble’s chlorine-free treatment process and use of diverted industrial waste reflects a gentler approach to yarn production, creating machine-washable luxury that doesn’t compromise on environmental values. Step into each season with socks that celebrate both natural beauty and sustainable craftsmanship.

Construction notes:
Each One Sock Colorwork is knit seamlessly from the top down in one piece. You’ll begin with the color contrast cuff ribbing, then follow the charted instructions for the colorwork design of your choice: Autumn, Snowman, or Candy Stripe. The colorwork continues down the leg, ending at the color contrast heel. The heel flap and turn are worked flat in a reinforced stitch pattern to enhance durability. The Autumn version transitions into a plain foot whilst the Snowman sock features a delicate falling snow motif along the foot, and the Candy Stripe design carries on with two-color striping. All three designs include an additional decorative colorwork section before finishing with a contrast color spiral decrease toe.
