Designed by Becky Baker, One Sweater is the ultimate wardrobe staple—an approachable yet timeless pullover that celebrates the beauty of simplicity. Inspired by the idea of a single pullover that can be worn by anyone, from all walks of life, this gender-inclusive design invites every maker to create a garment that truly fits their body and style. Worked seamlessly from the top down with classic raglan shaping, One Sweater offers two length options so you can customize the fit as you go. With an accompanying video series guiding you through each step, this pattern is a wonderful first-sweater project or a satisfying, meditative knit for more experienced makers.

An accompanying video series walks you through every step of the pattern, making One Sweater a fantastic project for first-time sweater knitters.

This sweater is designed with The Fibre Co.’s Cumbria—a worsted-weight yarn celebrated for its soft hand, rich color depth, and excellent stitch definition. Blending fine Merino wool with Masham wool and a touch of mohair, Cumbria creates a fabric that is both hard-wearing and luxuriously soft next to the skin. Inspired by the landscapes of England’s Lake District, its saturated palette beautifully highlights the clean lines and smooth texture of One Sweater. Durable, warm, and deeply connected to place, Cumbria makes this everyday pullover one you’ll reach for year after year.

The pattern included in this kit also contains instructions for the child-sized sweater, along with the adult sizes. A kit is available for the child version of One Sweater here.
