Description

Capturing the dynamic rhythm of the sea and its marvelous inhabitants, the Soft Shores Top reflects the tender touch of oceanic beauty. Front and back panels in stockinette stitch slant inward, creating a flattering silhouette that's beautifully complimented by widening garter stitch side panels—from underarm to hem.

Crafted in The Fibre Co.’s Cirro—a blend of Suri alpaca, organic cotton, and Merino wool—this top-down knit ensures a light and airy feel. Neat finishes, like the narrow hem ribbing and i-cord neckline, further enhance its delicate charm. Knit the Soft Shores Top and immerse yourself in the gentle whispers of the sea with every stitch.

This pattern is also available as a kit, that includes the PDF pattern and 2–5 hanks of Cirro yarn.

Yarn:

The Fibre Co. Cirro (40% Suri alpaca, 40% organic cotton, 20% Merino wool, 225 m (246 yd) per 50 g hank) in shade Ghost Dunes – 2 [3: 3: 3: 3: 4: 4: 4: 5] hanks.

Construction notes:

This sleeveless top is knit from the top down. The back piece is worked flat in stockinette stitch from shoulders to underarms, then each shoulder is picked up and knitted to shape the front neck opening. At the underarm, the front and back pieces are connected and the remainder of the body is worked in the round. Additional stitches are added under each arm to form underarm panels which will be worked in garter stitch. The front and back panels slant slightly inwards forming a flattering silhouette. At the bottom of the top, a narrow ribbing finishes off the bodice. An i-cord neckline is picked up and knitted to finish the garment.
