One Sweater DK: An Endlessly Versatile Wardrobe Staple

“When I first started working on the One Sweater project, I wanted it to become a continuum of ideas that would create a long, adventurous journey of sweater designs.

It is hard to know when to stop designing as it often feels like something more can be done with an initial idea. One Sweater solves this challenge by being a living design project, one that will have many future lives.”

Today, we are releasing the second pattern in our One Sweater project, One Sweater DK, which can be knitted in Acadia, Arranmore Light, Lore and Luma. This gender-inclusive pattern is designed in 15 sizes from infant to adult. It also has two length options so you can tailor it to your own measurements.

A Versatile Sweater Pattern for Every Body

After the huge success of the original One Sweater pattern, we had requests for a lighter weight version.

The new, DK weight design offers even more versatility than the original with 4 different yarns and over 90 colourway options to choose from so you can truly make it your own.

Our design manager, Becky Baker, added two additional sizes to One Sweater DK so that it now fits up to a 64” chest. The original pattern has also been updated with the extra sizes.

For the pattern photoshoot, we photographed some of the team at The Fibre Co. in their favourite version of One Sweater DK. Each version looks totally different, depending on the characteristics of the yarn used, and fits with varying amounts of positive ease to suit each team member’s personal style.
