CONSTRUCTION NOTES:
This boxy oversized cardigan is knitted top down with a modular join as you go construction – starting with the back right shoulder, followed by the left back shoulder, these are then joined together by casting-on back neck sts. The left front shoulder is then knitted with incorporated neck increases and the same is repeated for the right. Once the required measurements are reached, the two front and back body panels are joined together and continued in one piece. The overall pattern is knitted in a lofty 1×1 Fisherman’s Rib with 2×2 rib trims that introduce an end of Canopy Fingering for added texture and structure. The full blouson-shaped sleeves are picked up and knitted in the round and also follow the fisherman’s rib pattern.
