Loyal is a lace and cabled ruana — a versatile piece that can be worn as a shawl, vest, or top! The elegant motif is meditative to knit in its simple repetition. Directions are included for side-button, center-button, and side-seaming options. Loyal is knit flat, from the bottom of the back panel up, then split at the back neck and worked down the front, one panel at a time. Optional buttonholes are worked into the edges of the front panels. The motif is a meditative combination of lace and cables, and all cabling can be done as twisted stitches without a cable needle. The lace columns are anchored with elegant wrapped stitches, lending a sophisticated, regal feel to the piece.
