Budding Brioche Kit

About Budding Brioche

Budding Brioche is a wonderful top down triangular shaped shawl with lots of squishy garter interspersed with strips of one colour brioche panels and ending with a flowery budding brioche scalloped edge. This pattern makes a great beginners brioche project and designer Jennifer Shiels Toland of JST Knitwear Designs has published several videos to help you get started including a tutorial covering One Colour Brioche in-the-flat.

Kit contains:

  • PDF of Budding Brioche pattern
  • 5 hanks of The Fibre Co. Road to China Light  Note: The designer only had 6g of yarn remaining after knitting the shawl and a 22 stitch swatch. Care must be taken to achieve pattern gauge to avoid needing more yarn than included in the kit.
  • Free Project Bag from The Fibre Co.

The photos show the shawl in the shade Blue Tourmaline. Choose from any shade of Road to China Light as shown above.
