Sea Haven Mitts Kit

Designed by Jennifer Shiels Toland of JST Knitwear Designs, the Sea Haven Mitts are a set of unisex textured fingerless or full mittens using stitches from the Sea Haven Sweater. They are worked bottom-up in the round and are available in three sizes – small, medium and large. These mitts are fun and quick to knit up. They are packed with fun techniques including Tubular cast-on and bind off. For the full-length mitten, a garter Kitchener grafting gives a cozy neat mitten finish.

Fingerless mitts:
Finished Length approx: 20 cm (8 in)
Finished Hand Circumference approx: 17 (21.25, 25) cm (6.75 [8.5, 10) in)

Full mittens:
Finished Length approx: 23.25 (26.75, 28.25) cm (9.25 [10.25, 11.25] in)
Finished Hand Circumference approx: 17 (21.25, 25) cm (6.75 [8.5, 10] in)

Needles and notions required:

• 4mm (US 6) circular needle 80cm (32 in) length (or size needed to obtain gauge) to knit the mitt
• 3.75mm (US 5) circular needle, 80cm (32 in) and 40cm (16 in)80cm length (or 0.25mm / 1 US size smaller than gauge-size needle) for tubular cast on and setup rows. If not using magic loop then a set of double pointed needles will be required
• Spare needle or smooth waste yarn for holding live sts
• Stitch markers: 2. One unique
• Darning needle
