Star Anise by Emma Wright is a luxurious, stranded colour-work sweater knit in five shades of Acadia. The pattern for this drop shoulder design offers options for either a wide OR tapered sleeve, and a crew or high neck.  This is a project for knitters after something extra special for spring!

This boxy sweater is knitted bottom up seamlessly in the round to the underarm where the work is then divided to work the front and back sections flat. The sleeves are also knitted bottom up seamlessly in the round to the underarm to then be attached to the divided section (armholes) of the garment body. The ribbed neckline is picked up last.

Star Anise is the seventh pattern from The Almanac Series, a seasonal guide to knitting with The Fibre Co. yarns. This collection will feature a new design every month, each in a different yarn according to the qualities of the yarn to match the season.
