Introducing: The Almanac Series II

The Almanac Series is a seasonal guide to knitting with The Fibre Co. yarns. Based on the original farmer’s Almanac guide to the seasons, this collection celebrates each month of the year with our Yarn of the Month and a new design launch in that yarn.

For this Series, we looked to the heavens for inspiration. The beauty and grandeur of the night sky and awe-inspiring astronomical phenomena guided our creativity. As the season turns here in the Northern hemisphere, and the temperature begins to cool, we embrace our warmer yarns with each month. August is Road to China Light, September is Arranmore Light, October is Lore, November is Cumbria Fingering, December is Tundra, and January is Cumbria.

The first days of autumn are celebrated in our Yarn of the Month for September, Arranmore Light. This tweedy, richly textured DK-weight yarn has the traditional look of tweed yarns of the past and nostalgic back-to-school feelings, but the luxurious blend of cashmere, Merino, and silk, this is not your average yarn.
