Inspired by the breath-taking scenery of Ireland, Arranmore Light yarn is spun in a mill that traces its roots to the homespun tweed industry of 19th century County Donegal. This DK-weight yarn blends cashmere and silk with fine Merino wool to create an authentic tweed yarn in a color palette reminiscent of the wild Irish coastlands for makers who appreciate the best of luxury and tradition.

I knitted a multicoloured, sleeveless jumper for my friend's husband in 2022. He wears it a lot. It has barely pilled and held its shape all these 3.5 years later.

I loved knitting with this, and love the way the often worn six year old, sweater is holding up. This doesn’t even feel like wool. Zero itch, and I am very sensitive to wool.

It knits up SO nicely (I'm using size 3 and size 4 needles) and is exceptionally soft. It has a nice texture to it that show stitches quit well. I'm making a cardigan with it and can tell that the cardigan will have a very nice drape with this yarn. I have very sensitive skin and I do not think this yarn will bother me at all.

This yarn is knitting up nicely as a Hanstholm Sweater by Petite Knits. The gauge was slightly off for me but I switched down a couple of needle sizes and made a larger than usual size to get the fabric I want. l I love this yarn and this Brannagh colorway is so special.

What a wonderful yarn! I'm always surprised by its "colorfulness"! (Is there such a word?) Yet the end product is subtle and so interesting. It's warm to wear without feeling heavy. It's delightful to knit. I've now used 6 of the colors for mittens and sweaters and every project has been successful. This yarn has it all.
