Flurry Hat Pattern

Description

This hat is the foundation of your journey into color. A simple structure worked in the round, means you can quickly memorize a pattern you can return to and modify time and time again. Keep things simple and one tone, perhaps with a contrasting pompom. Or step into a little colorwork with a simple one-stitch color change that keeps things gentle as you learn the art of working two colors of yarn. Instructions included are for those of you ready to work in the round or with steps for knitting flat before seaming.

Yarn:

The Fibre Co. Tundra (60% baby alpaca, 30% merino wool, 10% silk, 109 m (120 yds) per 100 g hank) in Petrel (A) 1 hank and Snowdrift (B) 1 hank (also shown in a single color of Bearberry as well as another 2 color version in Glacier and Larch)

Gauge:

14 sts and 18 rnds to 10 cm (4 in) measured over st st using 7mm (US 10.5) needles.

Circumference: 51 cm (20 in)
Length: 23 cm (9 in)
