Description

Breathing the essence of comfort, the Gentle Breeze Shawl effortlessly marries simplicity with a touch of elegance. This easy-knit, triangular shawl gracefully unfolds from the bottom point, bringing together relaxing garter stitches intertwined with eyelet rows. As you knit, the leaf motif on either side develops and is echoed in the top border that completes the design.

Knitted in The Fibre Co.’s Luma—a delightful blend of merino wool, organic cotton, linen, and silk—the shawl promises a soft and comfortable embrace. Luma’s lightness perfectly complements the airy design, creating a piece that's ideal for multi-season wear, but especially to welcome cool Spring evenings. Let the Gentle Breeze Shawl inspire your knitting journey, creating a piece filled with tradition and casual elegance.

This pattern is also available as a kit, that includes the PDF pattern and 7 hanks of Luma.

Construction notes:

The Gentle Breeze Shawl is a triangular shawl knit from the bottom up, starting at the triangle base. The body of the shawl is worked in garter stitch punctuated by eyelet rows. A stunning leaf pattern is formed around the outer edges and along the top edge wingspan of the shawl, which is knitted simultaneously with the garter and eyelet body stitches. The shawl is finished with a few rows of garter stitch before casting off.
