Description
Sometimes the simplest ideas are the best. Did you know you could create a beautifully draping poncho with just two rectangular panels? Rebecca Dagmar’s Good Vibrations Throwover is a dreamy light layer for summer with the most straightforward construction. It’s decidedly modern but with a distinct 1970s flavor, and the pretty shell stitch pattern - inspired by soundwaves - is highlighted with eyelet details at the sleeve edges.
Crocheted in our eco-friendly Easy-Wash Amble, a blend of Merino wool, alpaca and recycled nylon, makes this a highly wearable design for easy living.
This pattern is also available as a kit, that includes the PDF pattern and 4–6 hanks of The Fibre Co. Amble.
Yarn:
The Fibre Co. Amble (70% easy-wash Merino wool, 20% easy-wash alpaca, 10% recycled nylon, 325 m (355 yd) per 100 g hank) in shade Wild Rose – 4 [5: 6] hanks.
Construction notes:
The poncho is made from two rectangles, worked from the center, out to sleeve edge. The panels are seamed together at the center front and back of the poncho, then folded in half and partially seamed along the bottom to create the sleeves.
