Helga is a dress for people who share our love for pockets in which to keep little souvenirs and the odd sweet or two.

The Fibre Co. Cumbria (60% merino wool, 30% brown masham wool, 10% mohair; 218m (238yds) per 100g hank) in Derwentwater (A) – 6 [6: 7: 7: 8] hanks and Helvellyn (B) – 1 [1: 1: 1: 1] hank.
Construction notes:
The dress which can also be worn as a tunic is worked flat and pieced together

To fit a chest circumference of: 81 [86: 91.5: 96.5: 101.5] cm (32 [34: 36: 38: 40] in)
Garment chest circumference (at underarm): 86 [91.5: 96.5: 101.5: 106.5] cm (34 [36: 38: 40: 42] in)
Recommended ease:
Designed with 5 cm (2 in) of positive ease at chest circumference.
Gauge:
20 sts x 28 rows = 10cm (4 in) in stocking stitch using 4.5mm (US 7) needles.
25 sts x 29 rows = 10cm (4 in) in elongated chevron stitch pattern using 4.5mm (US 7) needles.
19 sts x 34 rows = 10cm (4 in) in seed (British moss) stitch pattern using 4.5mm (US 7) needles.
