Kehinde by Sylvia Watts-Cherry is a traditionally-shaped cardigan with a bold, contrasting stripes-and-slip-stitch pattern that makes this sweater pop! With an easy, classic fit, raglan shaping, this gender-neutral cardigan is a perfect layering piece.

The Fibre Co. Luma (50% Merino wool, 25% organic cotton, 15% linen, 10% silk, 125 m (137 yd) per 50 g hank) in Pearl River (MC) – 5 [5: 6: 7: 8: 9: 9: 10: 11] hanks
The Fibre Co. Cirro (40% Suri alpaca, 40% organic cotton, 20% Merino wool, 225 m (246 yd) per 50g hank) in Pure (CC) – 2 [2: 2: 2: 3: 3: 3: 4: 4] hanks

Construction notes:

The raglan cardigan is worked flat in one piece from the rib edge to the armholes then split to work the V-neck fronts and back separately and the sleeves are worked flat. The cardigan is knit with a 4-row striped garter stitch pattern with slipped stitches creating the vertical lines.

The given sizes are called 1-9 and are recommended to fit a chest circumference of: 76-81 [86-91: 97-102: 107-112: 117-122: 127-132: 137-142: 147-152: 157-162] cm (30-32 [34-36: 38-40: 42-44: 46-48: 50-52: 54-56: 58-60: 62-64] in)

Finished measurements:
Garment chest circumference (at underarm): 84.5 [98.5: 106.5: 117.5: 128.5: 136.5: 147.5: 156: 167] cm (33.25 [38.75: 42: 46.25: 50.5: 53.75: 58: 61.5: 65.75] in)

Recommended ease:

Designed with 3.5–12.5 cm (1.5–5 in) of positive ease at chest circumference.

Gauge:

22 sts and 36 rows to 10 cm (4 in) knitted flat and measured over st patt (see p. 4) after blocking using 4mm (US 6) needles.
