The Kehinde Hat by Sylvia Watts-Cherry is a bold and beautiful hat pattern with a slouchy fit. It is a fantastic way to use up leftover yarn from the matching Kehinde Cardigan.

Yarn:

The Fibre Co. Luma (50% Merino wool, 25% organic cotton, 15% linen, 10% silk, 125 m (137 yd) per 50 g hank) in Pearl River (MC) - 1 hank
The Fibre Co. Cirro ( (40% Suri alpaca, 40% organic cotton, 20% Merino wool, 225 m (246 yd) per 50g hank) in Pure (CC) - 1 hank

Construction notes:

The hat is knitted in the round from the bottom to the top. The 2-color textured pattern is achieved by slipping stitches.

Sizes and measurements:

S [M: L]
The given sizes are called S, M, L and are recommended to fit head circumference: 46-51 [51-56: 56-61] cm (18-20 [20-22: 22-24] in)

Finished measurements:
Circumference: 45 [54: 60] cm (17.5 [21.5: 23.5] in)
Height: 22 [23: 25] cm (8.75 [9: 9.75] in)

Recommended ease:

Choose the size closest to, but not larger than, your actual head circumference.

Gauge:

20 sts and 37 rnds to 10 cm (4 in) knit in the round, measured over st patt after blocking using 4mm (US 6) needles.
