Lobelia is a textured crescent-shaped shawl by Joanna Ignatius, featuring a floral-inspired lace border, lateral braid detail, picot bobbles and lots of slipped stitches. Designed for 2 shades of Meadow and inspired by her homeland in Finland, nature, and the changing of seasons.

This pattern is also available as a kit, that includes the PDF pattern and 2 hanks of The Fibre Co. Meadow.

Yarn:

The Fibre Co. Meadow (40% Merino wool, 25% baby llama, 20% silk, 15% linen, 498 m (545 yd) per 100 g hank) in Larkspur (A) – 1 hank and Bluebonnet (B) – 1 hank.

Construction notes:

Lobelia shawl is a crescent-shaped shawl knitted top down in one piece. A lateral braid divides the body and the lace border.

Measuring 240 cm (94.5 in) wingspan along top edge and 52 cm (20.5 in) depth

Gauge:

20 sts and 56 rows to 10 cm (4 in) measured over slip stitch pattern (see bottom of p3) after blocking using 3.5mm (US 4) needles.
