Description
The Sundance Slipover is all about casual elegance and thoughtful design, perfectly suited for summer. This piece is knitted seamlessly from the bottom up, featuring practical details like a wide split hem and garter stitch accents around the V-neckline and armholes. It’s versatile too, looking great on its own or layered over a blouse, adapting easily to suit your style.
Crafted in The Fibre Co.’s Luma, a blend of Merino wool, organic cotton, linen, and silk, this slipover offers softness and comfort. The yarn is lightweight, making the slipover suitable for varying temperatures, and particularly ideal as the days start warming up.
This pattern is also available as a kit, that includes the PDF pattern and 6–12 hanks of Luma.
Yarn:
The Fibre Co. Luma (50% Merino wool, 25% organic cotton, 15% linen, 10% silk, 125 m (137 yd) per 50 g hank) in shade Flamingo – 6 [7: 8: 8: 9: 10: 11: 11: 12] hanks.
Construction notes:
The Sundance Slipover top is constructed seamlessly from the bottom up. The garter stitch hem is worked flat in two separate sections before joining for the body. The body is then knitted in the round to the armholes, from which the front and back sections are knitted flat separately and joined at the shoulders. The decorative central garter stitch detail on the front divides at the V-neck and continues either side of the neckline and around the back of the neck, meeting in the middle, where it is joined using a Three Needle Cast-Off. The same garter stitch detail is featured around the armholes, which are worked as part of the front and back sections.
