Description

Designed by Sarah Hatton, this cowl celebrates the beauty of simplicity through the interplay of knit and purl stitches in a classic mistake stitch rib. Choose between a longer version that can be wrapped and layered for extra coziness, or a shorter, single-skein option that sits snugly at the neck. Both are worked seamlessly in the round, offering a meditative knitting experience with just the right amount of texture.

Knit in The Fibre Co. Road to China Light, a luxuriously soft blend of baby alpaca, silk, camel, and cashmere, this yarn feels exquisite next to the skin. Its gentle halo and supple drape make the cowl irresistibly soft and comfortable to wear, turning simple stitches into pure indulgence.

A kit is also available for this Textured Cowl in Road to China Light.

Yarn:

The Fibre Co. Road to China Light (65% baby alpaca, 15% silk, 10% camel, 10% cashmere, 145 m (159 yd) per 50 g hank). Short version in shade Blue Tourmaline – 1 hank. Long version in shade Tanzanite – 2 hanks.

Construction notes:

The cowl is worked in the round from the bottom up. Featuring a mistake stitch rib pattern and a ribbed border, the pattern creates a textured fabric with plenty of stretch and drape. Two length options are provided: a shorter version and a longer version.
