This fun textured scarf by Kay Hopkins is a great addition to a handmade wardrobe. Antler Peak Scarf can be worn wrapped around the neck in any number of ways or simply draped over the shoulders as a shawlette. The pattern is easy, fast, and fun to do and includes video tutorials, charts and written instructions for every row. The scarf starts with three stitches and is worked top-down, with a couple of fun short row sections that make it long and narrow.

Knitted in Road to China Light, a luxurious blend of baby alpaca, silk, camel and cashmere, this scarf will feel exceptionally soft and light.

The Fibre Co. Road to China Light (65% baby alpaca, 15% silk, 10% camel, 10% cashmere, 145 m (159 yd) per 50 g hank) in shade Peridot – 5 hanks.

Needles and notions required:

  • 3.75mm (US 5) circular needle 70-80 cm (29-32 in) long (or size needed to obtain gauge) – for main body
  • 3.5mm (US 4) circular needle 70-80 cm (29-32 in) long – for finishing band
  • Stitch markers (2 inline and 4 locking)
  • Yarn needle – to weave in ends

  • Increases
  • Right twist and left twist stitches (video tutorial provided)
  • German short rows (tutorial provided)
