YARN:
The Fibre Co. Cumbria (60% Merino wool, 30% Masham wool, 10% mohair; 216 m (236 yd) per 100 g hank) in Isel (A) – 3 [4: 4: 4: 5: 5: 6: 6: 6] hanks and Blackbeck (B) – 1 [1: 1: 1: 1: 2: 2: 2: 2] hanks.

CONSTRUCTION NOTES:
This sweater is knitted top-down, seamlessly in the round. The yoke is worked to the underarm where the work is divided and the sleeves are separated from the body. The body is worked and then the sleeves are picked up in the round and knitted top down. Short row shaping is incorporated at the shoulders right after the neckline.

RECOMMENDED EASE:
Designed with 0-4 cm (0-2 in) of positive ease at chest circumference.

TENSION/GAUGE:
21 sts and 25 rnds to 10 cm (4 in) measured over st st after blocking using 3.5mm (US 4) needles.

NEEDLES AND NOTIONS REQUIRED:

  • 3mm (US 2.5) circular needle or double-pointed needles for working a small circumference in the round
  • 3.5mm (US 4) 60 cm (24 in) circular needle (or size to obtain gauge)
