Description
Chanson by Leah Prestamo is a drop-shouldered, deep V-neck cardigan with a pretty lace pattern at the hem and cuffs. This cardigan has a beautiful modern vintage feel, with a subtle, tonal marled fabric created by holding Cirro in shade Seraphic together with Cumbria Fingering in shade Scafell Pike.
Leah has also designed a cowl to accompany the cardigan, which is worked in the round to create a doubled fabric for a substantial neck warmer, and is easily adjusted to accommodate more or less leftover yarn from your cardigan project!
Yarn:
The Fibre Co. Cumbria Fingering (60% Merino wool, 30% Masham wool, 10% mohair; 300 m (328 yd) per 100 g hank) in Scafell Pike – 4 [4: 4: 5: 5: 5: 5: 6: 6] hanks.
The Fibre Co. Cirro (40% Suri alpaca, 40% organic cotton, 20% Merino wool, 225 m (246 yd) per 50g hank) in Seraphic – 5 [5: 5: 6: 6: 6: 7: 7: 7] hanks.
Construction notes:
Chanson was designed to be a relaxed cardigan with a low v-neck and button closure. The cardigan is worked back and forth in pieces and seamed.
