It works up quickly and easily in the Luma, with the beautiful blend creating a delightfully warm piece that can be easily worn across the seasons. This project walks you through a dedicated shawl cast on, the garter tab, and introduces you to simple eyelets and the joy of blocking to finish your shawl.
Yarn:
The Fibre Co. Luma (50% merino wool, 25% organic cotton, 15% linen, 10% silk, 125 m (137 yd) per 50 g hank) in Willow – 6 hanks
Gauge:
19 sts and 30 rows to 10 cm (4 in) measured over garter stitch before blocking and 16 sts and 25 rows
after blocking both using 5mm (US 8) needles.
Sizes and measurements:
160 cm (63 in) wingspan along top edge and 62 cm (24.5 in) depth, after blocking
