Description

Ginseng is a V-neck tank top designed by Sarah Hatton that is packed with intricate details along the neck and side seams with a 1x1 rib section at the top of the body. It comes with 2 length options – a shorter version or a longer version with vents at the lower rib. The deep V creates a flattering fit whether you wear it on its own as part of a beach outfit, with a shirt or long-sleeved tee as part of a layered look for warmth or as a splash of color over a dress for an evening out.

The front and back of the vest are knit separately and joined at the shoulders with a decorative 3-needle bind off. The sides are then seamed using the mattress stitch.

This pattern is also available as a kit that includes the PDF pattern and 4–10 hanks of The Fibre Co. Luma.

Yarn:

The Fibre Co. Luma (50% Merino wool, 25% organic cotton, 15% linen, 10% silk, 125 m (137 yd) per 50 g hank) in Ciel – 6 [6: 6: 8: 8: 8: 8: 10: 10] hanks in the longer length. For the shorter length – 4 [5: 5: 6: 6: 7: 7: 8: 8] hanks.

Construction notes:

Ginseng is a sleeveless tee with a deep V-neck knit in pieces from the bottom up, with decorative ribbing over the shoulders, along the front neck and down the center front. The front and back are joined at the shoulders with a 3-needle cast-off to create a decorative and useful external shoulder seam. After the shoulders have been cast-off, the sides are mattress stitched together. The pattern is written for 2 lengths.
