Description
This contemporary vest features an all-over wave pattern that grows out of the hem ribbing and up into the wide crew neck. An easy-to-wear yet stylish layering piece to keep you warm when going about your daily activities, Laguna Veneta Vest is not too difficult to knit for an advanced beginner but not too easy for more advanced knitters.
This sweater vest works up effortlessly in lofty DK-weight Lore, which is perfect for textures and making a light yet enveloping piece. Made from 100% lambswool from the English Romney sheep breed, this piece is guaranteed to keep you warm and cozy.
This pattern is also available as a kit, that includes the PDF pattern and 3–6 hanks of The Fibre Co. Lore.
Yarn:
The Fibre Co. Lore (100% lambswool, 250 m (273 yd) per 100 g hank) in shade Heaven – 3 [3: 4: 4: 4: 5: 5: 5: 6] hanks.
Construction notes:
This vest is knitted bottom up seamlessly, flat to create the rib hem slits, and then in the round to the underarm, where the work is then divided to work the front and back sections flat. Short row shaping is incorporated at the shoulders for an improved fit. The sleeves are picked up in the round for knitting a few rounds of ribbing. The ribbed neckline is picked up last.
