Description
Rising Star Sweater is a delightful drop shoulder, wide crew-necked sweater with lots of beautiful texture. The ‘rising star’ of the pattern’s name is revealed in the single lacy motif panel that runs up the front of the sweater. Knit in Cirro, this sweater is incredibly light and so soft, you will have to feel it to believe it! With three to five inches of positive ease, Rising Star might just be the coziest sweater you ever make.
This pattern is also available as a kit, that includes the PDF pattern and 4–9 hanks of The Fibre Co. Cirro yarn.
Yarn:
The Fibre Co. Cirro (40% Suri alpaca, 40% organic cotton, 20% Merino wool, 225 m (246 yd) per 50g hank) in Ghost Dunes – 4 [5: 5: 6: 6: 7: 7: 8: 9] hanks.
Construction notes:
Rising Star Sweater is worked bottom up, in the round, to the armhole, at which point front and back are separated and each worked flat separately. The shoulders are then joined and stitches picked up around the armhole for the sleeves, which are worked in the round from shoulder to cuff. All hems as well as the neckband are finished with a 2x2 rib.
