Currents Socks Kit

Inspired by the twists and flow of waves in the deep sea, the Currents Socks are a snuggly pair of cabled socks reminiscent of ocean swells. The socks are knitted from the top down in the round, featuring a twisted cable and lace design. The pattern includes a helpful chart. The center cable pattern elegantly flows all the way down the foot from the ribbed cuff to the toe and is framed with a pretty eyelet border.

These socks are knitted in our specially designed sock yarn, Amble, which is spun from a blend of machine-washable Merino wool and alpaca as well as recycled nylon. The Merino wool and alpaca fibres have been treated using an eco-friendly alternative to the superwash process, which makes this project truly something you can be proud of.

Yarn:

The Fibre Co. Amble (70% Easy-wash Merino wool, 20% Easy-wash alpaca, 10% recycled nylon, 325 m (355 yd) per 100 g hank) in shade Heathland – 1 hank.

Photographs show the socks in the shade Heathland. Choose from any shades of Amble as shown above.

Finished foot circumference: 15 (18, 20, 23) cm [6 (7, 8, 9) in]
Please note: when choosing your size, pick a size with approx. 2.5cm (1 in) of negative ease.

• 4mm circular needles or preferred method of working in the round (or size to obtain gauge)
