These pretty socks bring a modern vibe to a classic sock, designed by Stella Ackroyd. The short Fair Isle band is easy to work, with no complicated stranding to navigate and the finished result is chic and fuss-free, with just a hint of elegant patterning to draw attention to the cuff.

Offered in three sizes ranging from UK shoe size 3 to 8, the gorgeous colour palette of Amble lends endless fabulous combination opportunities – perfect for a sock drawer full of seasonal goodies!

The kit comes with two 100 g hanks of yarn – one in colour A and the second in colour B – giving you enough yarn to make the pattern twice in the reverse colour combination. Make the first pair for yourself and the second for a knitworthy friend!  The tiny amounts of yarn for colours C and D can be added with any small amounts of leftover yarn you have on hand.

Colours:

The photos show the socks in the yarn A: Fair Hill, with yarn B for the cuffs and toes in shade Blackbeck, and small amounts of Saddleback Slate and Scafell Pike for Fair Isle pattern. Choose from any shade of Amble as shown above.

Sizes:

To fit UK shoe size 3-4 [5-6: 7-8] (EU 36-37 [38-39: 41-42]).

You will also need:

• 2.25mm (US 1) circular needles (or size to obtain gauge)
• 2.5mm (US 2) circular needles (or size to obtain gauge)
• Darning needle
