District Kit

About District

Designed by Norah Gaughan, this sweater is worked in one piece from the bottom of the front to the bottom of the back. Sleeve ribbing is added after the underarm and sleeves are seamed.

Kit contains:

• PDF of the District knitting pattern by Norah Gaughan
• 6 [8: 9: 10: 11: 12] hanks of MC and 4 [5: 6: 6: 7: 8] hanks of CC in The Fibre Co. Acadia (60% Merino wool, 20% baby alpaca, 20% silk, 133 m (145 yd) per 50 g hank)
• Free Project Bag from The Fibre Co.

Colours:

The photos show the sweater in the shades Granite (MC) and Summersweet (CC). Choose any two shades of Acadia as shown above.

To fit a chest circumference of: 76 [86: 96: 107: 117: 127] cm (30 [34: 38: 42: 46: 50] in)

Garment chest circumference (at underarm): 89 [101.5: 114: 122: 134.5: 140] cm (35 [40: 45: 48: 53: 55] in)

Recommended ease:

Designed with 13 – 18 cm (5 – 7 in) of positive ease at chest circumference.

You will also need:

• 3.75mm (US 5) needles for body
• 3.25mm (US 3) needles for ribs, OR 2 sizes smaller than body needle
• 3.25mm (US 3) circular needles 40 cm (16 in) for neck rib
• Darning needle
