Designed by Kay Hopkins, the Forbidden Cliffs Sweater is the perfect pullover to knit up fast for cooler weather and itโ€™s super-comfy! The slip-stitch colorwork at the neckline is easy and uses only one color per round. There are 3 options to choose from for the collar: cowl, double-crew, or funnel neckline. The body is slightly A-Line and there is also the option to add a bit of length to the back hemline for comfort in wearing.

Construction is top-down and in the round in a completely seamless manner. It starts with a circular yoke for easy colorwork and transitions into raglan seams for the best fit (and the ability to raise your arms without exposing everything). There is no finishing to be done at the end except for weaving in a few ends. The Forbidden Cliffs Sweater is also available as a kit in The Fibre Co. yarn Amble, and can be viewed here.

The inspiration for the design comes from the Forbidden Cliffs of the central Oregon Coast in America. It is the forbidden part of Neahkahnie Mountain, a secret place near Manzanita that is one of the more startlingly beautiful places along the wild and untamed coastline of Oregon.
