Cirro and the cloudwatching that the designer used to do with her children; seeing shapes and animals in the clouds (that she admits to not having grown out of). The pattern is incredibly adaptable and can be adjusted to make a narrower scarf, a wider stole or be made even wider for a blanket! Bands of simple lace are interspersed with stripes of stocking stitch that effortlessly lead into the next lace section.
Cloudwatching makes for perfect TV/sociable knitting. It is worked on 4.5mm needles and is straight forward enough to take to knit group, chat whilst knitting and there is no need for stitch markers!
